Olé!

My 28th birthday was Wednesday and my parents got me the Habs sweater. I love it so much! It's a small mens so I think it could fit over gear too. I don't think I'll wear it to floor hockey though. I bought myself the Jets t-shirt. Always liked their logo. I miss them. There's a HUGE black hole in Canada's hockey landscape and Winnipeg is smack right in the middle of it. Coyotes? Pfft, whatever... Like more people watch the Jets in the desert? I seriously doubt that one.

Going to eat at Aikawa tonight. My birthday is our annual visit there. I love that place.

Look, ma! An update!

So, yea. I'll give you the same speech as being busy with work and other things, yada yada yada. But here I am. Alive and well. Watching my money slowly go into that condo, anticipating November when I move in. I come here with VIDEO though! We (myself and the family) paid a visit and got into the wall-less apartment. Dad took the video with his cellphone.

Soon I'll see it with the drywall up.

In other news, Georges Laraque has chosen number 17! Hmm... my birthday's on the 17th...and I'm a big fan... Should try to find a t-shirt :D Also the Habs will start their regular season in Buffalo on October 10th. Yup, on the road again. The day after it's the Leafs (in Toronto), and the home opener is against the Bruins on my brother's birthday (October 15). Two rivals in a row? It's probably going to be impossible to get a ticket...but I would like to try to get in there. Birthday present for Ben? :D (I asked for a Price sweater for my birthday).

I almost forgot. I won a goalie stick from Goalie Day at Play-it-Again Sports! It's pretty sweet too. Composite Nike Bauer, worth $130 (choke)! When I got the call, I figured I'd be walking out with something like an old Sher-Wood ($35, which was what I wanted to get...might still get one...) and they give me this super fancy stick! I need some new tape though. So now I got skates (used and the least rotten pair I could find) and a stick. A few paychecks later and maybe I can get some used pads. I fit like big-kid's size too so there's some discount! Might actually be worth it to see if there's anything posted at the arena too. Nevertheless, I'm gonna move myself to ice hockey. Winning the stick actually forced me to clear any doubts about it too. I'm a little crazy like that.

The sweetest thing about playing goalie? When you play pick-up hockey, we always get in for free! (And after buying all that fooking gear you better hope you get something free)!

Oh give me a home!

This is the site of my (hopefully) future home. Yes'sir! I finally plunked down some cash for a lovely little place of my own! It's just down the street from where I am right now, actually. Called the Upper West Side, I've nabbed the one-bedroom apartment on the second floor for a real steal. And contrary to some other places I've been watching and visiting for 3 years now, this comes with everything from parking to AC to sprinklers in the whole place (not just the hall). It shouldn't break the bank either, especially since my car payments should be up this august. Huzzah!

This is phase II and what my building will look like.

Welcome!
